Conversational Agility:

Developing Conversational Intelligence (CIQ) to Build Trust and Drive Collaboration

Session Summary

Every conversation helps shape organizational culture. HR professionals are uniquely positioned to model and coach communication that strengthens trust, collaboration, and performance. This session introduces the Conversational Intelligence (C-IQ) model, a neuroscience-based framework that explains how language and trust influence engagement and results. Participants will use tools such as the Conversation Dashboard to identify trust and threat dynamics in dialogue and develop key competencies to turn everyday interactions into opportunities for stronger relationships and greater partnership.

Learning Objectives

1.) Understand how the Conversational Intelligence model links neuroscience, trust, and communication effectiveness in the workplace.

2.) Apply the Conversation Dashboard to identify conversational patterns, manage reactions, and create space for understanding and collaboration.

3.) Practice trust-building behaviors such as listening to connect, staying open to influence, asking discovery questions, and co-creating shared meanings.
